The area is 4700 sqkm, population in the province 300 000 and in Krabi town 17 000.

Krabi province is located 170 km south of Phuket and 800 km from Bangkok and best known for it's Phi Phi islands.

What to do

Fishing with line fishing, max two people per boat. Money refunded if you don't catch anything.

Island trips from Ao Nang with longtail boats to Railay and Phra Nang headlands cost Bt 20 per person each way.

At Phra Nang Bay you can see exotic jungle or covered islands including James Bond Island.

Anchorage can be found on the mainland around Ao Nang, Phra Nang Bay and the islands to the south.

You can rent a motorbike or a car even a speed boat.

Getting to Krabi and Ao Nang

To Krabi by train, night train (sleeper) from Bangkok to Surat Thani.

To Krabi by bus, VIP air conditioned bus to Surat Thani.

To Krabi from Phuket, Surat Thani, Hat Yai and Trang there are daily bus services.

To Ao Nang from Krabi, Bt15 for a white bus from town center.

When most people say they went to Krabi, they really mean they stayed at Ao Nang beach.

We walked down the beach a little bit and gone up to the beach road. This section of the beach road is not so developed, although there are some restaurants, bars and shops.

AoNang Villa, the new gem of the south seas, surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs is waiting.
