New Orleans & Frogman Henry

New Orleans, land of athousand dreams, red beans and rice - two parking spaces, corrupt policemen and a stripper named Lola - God bless her soul! This is where the inspiration of Jump 4 Joy's music comes from. This is where Jump 4 Joy have played the Jazz & Heritage Festival 1995 - backed New Orleans legends Frogman Henry and Tommy Ridgley during many years in Scandinavian festivals.

Clarence "Frogman" Henry

First time we backed up "Frogman" was in 1989 at the Stockholm All Star Jazz & Blues Festival. It went so well, the festival brought him back the next three years as well. He invited the whole band (8 piece Sneaky Pete's at the time) to come see N'awlins and stay with him for two weeks and a mutual friendship was solidified. Frogman is an outstanding artist and performer of the old school. He keeps a total open line of communication with the audience and is definately the greatest source of stage inspiration for Jump 4 Joys Ulf "Little Frog" Sandström. We love ya Frogman!
