I have made Quality Audits on finish suppliers (Helsinki and Åland) and visit Koverhar at Ekenäs. All of my visits have showed that Finland is great to make a lot with limited resources. The Supplier at Åland makes a lot by self and they must travel to meet customers and suppliers.

In Koverhar they had one of the smallest commercial Blast-Furnace in the world. They use a further developed version of the Rist-diagram to reduce coal, energy consumption and to avoid stops and to be competitive. Anders Moliis-Mellberg who worked at Koverhar in Finland was apprentice of Professor Rist in France in the end of 1970. He developed the Rist-diagram further on to the CDRR-diagram (CDRR - Coal Direct Reduction Rate). CDRR-diagram shows limits of chemistry and energy for the actual working point.
