Winter Universiade, Sofia 1989
Sofia was my first Winter Universiade. We flew Stockholm --> Berlin (Schönenhafen) --> Sofia. In a lift I met the chief of the Japanese Olympic committee who I later met in Sapporo 1991 I had a little cold and it was a lot of airpockets when we flew home. It was terrible. I understand now why wings must be little bit soft. I learned later in Helsinki, on a Quality Audit, that you can drop glycerine on your ear-drum to make them elastic and decrease the pain during flights. Glycerine you can buy without recipe.
