Viktor Sundborg (1880-1957)
(my fathers mothers father)

In one of the first years in the 20:th century Viktor was supposed to do his military service. But, since Åland belonged to Russia in these days, and the rumor said that they were going to be sent to Siberia, Viktor - as many other in his age - decided to leave the country for a while. Viktor immigrated to the United States. In Georgetown, Connecticut, he worked in a steel net manufactury business.

After three years in America he felt ill, and a doctor adviced him to travel back home for a while. Back home in Åland he met Anna Jansson - and stayed home.
