It all started in the winter of 1994. Three buddies in Stockholm, Cris, Charlie and Mike, decided to put together a band and play at an exhibit in a local school. To make a long story short, the gig sucked, but in spite of this they continued playing together. Other members were recruited and they started playing in local Fritidsgårdar, competitions, bars, private parties and festivals. Two of the founding members still remain in the band, Cris and Charlie. Mike decided to go into the crab-business in Norway instead. So, nowadays the band consists of Robin Lee (vocals), Cris Vega (guitar), Charlie Maximus (drums), Freddy Caramba (bass) and Bob Hoilday, (guitar). Over the years the music has changed drastically. In the beginning, when the band was called Spandx, the music was some kind of soft punk pop crap, but as they developed skills and taste in music they started playing real music: Rock. Everyone in the band listens to different kinds of music, so there area lot of influences, of which the most important are: The Hellacopters, Kiss, Red Hot Chilipeppers, Jimi Hendrix, Faith No More, and last but not least, Guns n Roses. |
