Gloriosa Rotschildiana
Gloriosa...eller klängliljan, kommer igång tidigt och slingrar sig i hela växthuset innan den kommer i blom. När knoppen slutligen slår ut , Växlar blommans färg från Grönt till Knallgult för att sedan sakta mogna till djupaste röd, innan den vissnar ned före vilan... Hela blomningsförloppet kan liknas vid ett vingslag, då blomman först slår ut tills kronbladen når skaftet, bakåt, och sedan sakta sakta fälls igen under loppet av någon vecka!
Gloriosa is a beatiful lily from south america, that first has to climb all over the inside of our greenhouse before it begins flowering... The buds turn from green to red through different hues of yellow and the flowering itself can be compared with a beat of a birds wing, The petals unfold slowly until they touch the stalk , just to fold itself together again in a process over aproximately a forthnight...Wonderful flower. (we have to move the bulbs indoors into a cool storage in winter, othervise it would freese to death.).
