The Mangasquare is a non commercial site, it's a fan page made by a 19 year old swede named David who is fascinated by the japanese phenomenon manga. Here is a little story about his first contact with manga and anime:

" My first contact with anime was when I, as a little kid, together with a friend used to rent cartoons from a local videostore. Vi rented Robotech, Silver Fang and StarZinger, which now are real anime classics. We used to sit in front of the TV and watched with big round eyes and was fascinated by the amazing characters. And afterwards we used to play, sometimes pretty violent ^_^, with astrolances, laserguns and other cool weapons.
But we grew older and started to pay attention to other things in life. But one day a few years ago I saw a movie on TV-1000 (a swedish network channel) that was called "Akira", and stumbled in to a new world called manga. I learned that there was a whole culture around the phenomenon, and I was stucked. I began to buy anime and fortunately I have some friends I can swap films with.
When I can get hold of a classic that I saw as a kid, I become nostalgic and remembers the good times I had. "
