The year is 1999, and Tokyo´s mobile police have a new weapon in the war against crime - advanced robots called Labors are used to combat the criminals who would use the technology for illegal means. The suicide of a mysterious man on the massive Babylon Project construction sets off a cascade of events that may signal the destuction of Tokyo. With the future of a city hanging in the balance and a typhoon poised to trigger the devastation, the Patlabor cops must destroy the source of the virus in a die-hard battle to the finish.
Patlabor is a really good sci-fi police drama. Well animated and with a good story. The only negative to say, is that it is too much talking and lesser action, even if the action sequenses that exists is damn cool.
Patlabor 2 - The movie, is a little bit better.
