Gurdich, a Kraukish orch, was raised by a poor farmer and his wife. The two had no children of their own, and they found Gurdich in the forest, alone and helpless. After a few bite marks they finally managed to teach him manors. Though extremely civilised for an orch, he never seemed to forget his origin. When he became an adventurer together with his friend Valdemar, he was sometimes seen taking bites of defeated enemies to eat. He was a skilled warrior, he knew how to use the sabre, the mace flail, the two-handed axe, the heavy shield, but he knew little more. Against all odds, he actually became friends with some elves because he helped them get rid of an evil wizard together with his party. After that, he became not much more than a murderer, killing innocent people because of his hot temper. But he was always a fearless warrior without mercy. He was cut in half by a giant stone demon, which he woke up, hoping it would help him. Rest in peace, Gurdich. You are missed by some, and by many you are not.
Kalte (Nils)
Kalte was a bandit originally, and remained that way. He was known and respected among his outlaw friends as the most bloodthirsty member of the party, though he was not really a good fighter. He lived his life on the edge, constantly on the run from the law, always on the search for money. He once got bitten by a werewolf, but was very lucky since it didn't give any results. Kalte got killed in a hideous and diabolic trap, which crushed him into a juicy mess.
Gorm (Ola)
Gorm, a young warrior and later lycanthropist, was, compared to most of his other party-members, rather mercyful. Though, he was no more lawful than his enviroment, and stole whatever he needed, but he did not kill unless he found it necessary. As earlier spoken, he was bitten by a werewolf, but he was not as lucky as Kalte, so he became a lycanthropist. This, however, never showed, since he got his hands on a lot of "Stormhat", a herb that prevents you from turning into a werewolf. Though, he was running out of it by the time he got killed. That was in the very same ceiling-sinking trap which Kalte and Kano died in. Thón have mercy on him.
Welsov (Johan)
Welsov was a warrior-wolfman who lived the life of a bandit and a highwayman. Armed with a battleaxe and a longsword he fought against humans, mainly for profit, and orchs, mainly for his life. But, though he was often brave and fearless, he could attack defenceless people, take their money, and kill them to prevent them from telling anyone about it. Constantly on the run from the law, and never accepted in the cities because of his appearance, he spent his time looking for weapons and armour. He ended his days under the sword of a giant stone demon. May the mighty Thón have mercy on his soul, or give him whatever punishment he deserves.
Kano (Jimmy)
How this rather peaceful, elven ranger got together with the rest of the party is a mystery. But under influence from his other party members, Kano became a bandit and a thief. For some reason, this elf got very interested in money, and started using (for an elf) odd ways of getting his hands on it. But he was always friendly to "common people", and never became as rough as many of his friends. Rest in peace Kano, but it is doubted that you will be reborn as an elf.
Gorbald -the
greedy (Jimmy)
Gorbald, by his party members called "the greedy", was truly a powerful warrior. He had studied swordfighting at the academy of Elrhomian, and had after several years of adventuring reached a high skill in fighting. He was, however, not always very brave, asking questions like -"Is there a girl among the fighters? Then I'll attack her!". When the gamemaster replied -"She tries to parry with her sword", Gorbald said -"She's armed? Then I don't attack her! Are there no unarmed fighters?". But in spite of occasional greed and cowardness, Gorbald fought many mighty battles and helped many people in need (for a certain prize, of course). He lost one eye in the dungeons of Drintei, and he died by the hand of Isembur Cod. Isembur was another member of the party, who had been poisoned by Gorbald, and therefore had great agressions against him. The two had been quarreling all since Isembur joined the party, and that all ended when Isembur stabbed Gorbald while he was sleeping. Rest in peace Gorbald. If only you had died honorably.
Isembur Cod
(Ian)
During all of Isembur's time with the party, he and the warrior Gorbald constantly argued. Their personalities didn't really correspond, since Isembur's goal in life was to protect the innocent, always do the right thing (even when nobody is looking) and fight everything evil. Gorbald, however, was a more selfish character. Isembur Cod was a highly religious paladin of The Kathan, and his goal was to extinct all demons from the face of the world. He didn't get to kill more than one, though, together with his party. Isembur's days ended one night when he had had enough of Gorbald's deeds. Gorbald had mocked him, poisoned him, killed another party member, and finally cut Isembur's arm off. So, in the middle of the night, Isembur comitted suicide by stabbing himself with a dagger, after having done the evil deed of cutting Gorbald's throat with it. May the Highest God have mercy on your soul!
Sirv (Johan)
Sirv, the jester, was a halfling. One day, he got mighty tired of the dull life in the halfling village, and decided to go travelling. His relatives and neighbours thought, of course, that he was a very strange and excentric young halfling, and shook their heads in concerned silence. On his travels, he met a group of adventurers with whom he became friends. He lived through many dangerous events, but while he was searching for treasure in the Marshland (to earn enough money to be able to marry his love Misha) he was killed by his former friend Gorbald, by a poisoned strike of a sword. He was proud and never wanted to obey orders, or even advise, from anyone, and therefore he sometimes ended up in a lot of trouble, but he made many friends during his lifetime. He must also have made many enemies, since he had lost both arms and one leg when he died. Another party member, Avena, was about to cut the other leg off just before Sirv died. (She was, however, stopped by a strong dwarf.)
Phildarim Folte
(Johan)
Phildarim Folte didn't adventure with the party for very long. His only wish was to earn enough money to buy himself a ship of his own, and he had almost fulfilled his wish when he died. He and the rest of the party killed a dragon right after he joined them, and they gained very much gold from that advebture. Phildarim got his hand bitten off, but the share of gold he had got wasn't quite enough to buy his ship for, so he kept adventuring anyway. Phildarim was killed a few days later, attacked by an evil mage and his dark-elf warriors. He bled to death while his friends were busy fighting for their lives. May the eight-armed god let you travel the seas forever, Phildarim, so that your wishes finally can come true.
Gudur Kha (Ian)
Gudur was one of the rare, brown warrior-ducks. He was a hot-tempered former gladiator, and he loved his broad-axes more than anything, except perhaps for the egg that he found on an island in the marshland. It would hatch a falcon, which Gudur planned to train. But he never lived to see that day. He drowned in a trap, deep under the Chrystal island, just a few days after he had joined the others. Rest in peace, Gudur Kha, your memory lives.
Uhl-Belk (Jimmy)
This bounty-hunter was on his way out to the marshland where he planned to find and terminate the Viandar-cult, an evil sect of human sacrifices. However, he met some adventurers who claimed that they had already taken care of that problem, so he thought he could just aswell help them killing the dragon Kreúrm, which they were seeking to do. The dragon Kreúrm showed to be an intelligent, but rather weak dragon, and together with some dwarves they managed to destroy him. Uhl-Belk survived the fight with the dragon, but died some days later in a water trap in a dungeon under the Chrystal-island. He simply could not keep himself floating long enough for the water to disappear. A sad ending for an honorable man it was.
Decin
(Johan)
He was a cat-man. He was marksman. He was a hunter. (At least he claimed to be one, but the truth was that he hadn't been able to catch a single beast in his entire life. Some say that's why he had to leave his home, out of shame.) Decin did not like authorities, not at all, and especially not nobles, which made him very annoyed at his noble party-members from time to time. Decin wasn't always very lawful, unfourtenately, and after having killed some imperial soldiers by shooting them in the face with his bow and arrow (as spoken, he was a marksman) he was crucified by Gottard's of Melse troops on the island Marjura, colony of the Trakorian empire. As a comfort, Decin, maybe death is however better than life on the cold, isolated island Marjura.
Grindlark (Jimmy)
This mighty mage travelled to Marjura to investigate a sect of magicians
who recided there, at least he said so. Some of us suspect he wanted to
join the evil ones, but that is unsaid for now. He constantly quarreled
with the knight Paramon, however, because the knight refused stubbornly
to respect and fear the mage's powers. This could sometimes result in that
the knight for example drew his sword at the mage, only to discover that
it had magically been broken off, and that he was rather harmless without
it. So the knight feared the mage in silence, refusing to admit it. And
so did the others. But since Grindlark did not know that, he was a very
bittre man, all he wanted was to be respected. And he was determined to
become so powerful that everyone HAD to fear him. Unfourtunately, the old
man didn't come back from Marjura, and none of his friends have seen him
ever since. This engravings is only written because he is reported dead
by his friends.
Paltir (Per)
Paltir from Tricilve, the pirate's son, lived outside the law. He took what he needed, but only if he couldn't afford it. He didn't make it to spend that much time with the party before he lost one hand in a fight. Such a damage is fatal for a thief and a lock-pick, but not an impossible one to overcome. So Paltir kept adventuring. But, defending a bridge from Orchs, he lost the other arm too, and died from the bloodloss and infections. But, although he was a thief, he was a friendly and good man, always wanting to help those in need of it. He was a loyal friend and a good son, but he had to end his days way too early. His grave is situated in the Spider forest in Berendien, close to the Centaur's bridge. If you ever pass it, give him a thought and a prayer, will you? He would do the same for you.
Turo (Jimmy)
Well, Turo was a special man. He was a galant thief, skilled with his rapier and parrying-dagger, and also a good poison-maker. But he couldn't ever keep his hands off valuables, not even if they belonged to his adventurer friends. So after having discovered that Turo had stolen a gold grale from Baldor, the rest of the party wanted to teach him a lesson. Drugged by heavy hallucinatory mushroom powder, Turo couldn't see that the others stole all of his possessions (including the poison and the weapons) because of the big, purple pig with a giant pot on his head that was standing in the way. Turo discovered what had happened and took Larkin for hostage to get his things back, but was fooled by the girl Anya, and killed by her with a hair-needle through the throat. Somehow, the gods had had a feeling that this man wouldn't be long-lived in the party. And the gods were right as usual.
(These engravings were made by the Gamemaster. Long live the mighty Erik!)
