Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs
born manchester 23 June 1965
Where would we be without Bonehead? There would be no Oasis band, that's for sure, as
Bonehead was responsible for bringing the original four band members together and setting
up Noel as a (then) future member of the band. His nickname originates from his depleting
hairline, but is a name he's happy with: "I've accepted my nickname as my real name
now!".
Bonehead has gained respect as both an excellent rythm
guitarist and expert hotel-smasher. Of hotel smashing he states: "I tell people it
takes years of practice to be as good as I am". He can sing & write songs as
well: "Bonehead's Bank Holiday " was written and sung by the man himself.
Bonehead is the oldest member in the band and arguably the steadying influence on the two
front men, Noel and Liam. He likes to play piano (you can hear him on Don't Look Back In
Anger and Live Forever), but proved his versatility when they were short of a bass player
in the US by playing bass while Noel played guitar.
