Noel Thomas Gallagher was born in the 29th of
may, in 1967. He was born in Burnage, Manchester, and his
mother's name was Peggy Gallagher. He already had an older
brother at this time, his name was Paul and was 16 months old
when Noel was born.
Noel and Paul learned to hate their father, Thomas. Thomas was
always fighting with Peggy and the children. He punched them and
looked at Noel and Paul as a problem.
Things didn't change even when Liam was born in 1972. Thomas went
on fighting with the family.
In 1984 Peggy and the children escaped from Thomas. Paggy had
bought another house.
But things where not going to be the same after all these years.
Noel became very silent and loosed respect for adults.
Instead Noel started to use drugs, fight at Manchester City's
games and steal things from other people and shops.
Noel was charged for many chrimes. Once he and his friends got
the idea to steal a milkbus with about 20000 bottles if milk.
After only a couple of minutes the police could seize them.
When Noel was 13 years old he went to his first rockconcert. The
band that played was "The Damned" and the concert took
place in Manchester. After this Noel became very interested in
music. Noal became a punk.
Soon Noel started to play the guitar and the first song he
learnad to play was "House of the rising sun". He
started to search among his brother Paul's records to find a band
he liked. Finally he found and started to love a band called
"The Smiths" and he also started to make his on songs
with his guitar.
Soon the raveclubs came to Manchester and Noel went to visit one
of them and he became really surprised. He thought that the
rhytms and the drugs were much more interesting than the
pop-music.He started to visit the clubs very often and he even
put his guitar away for a while. But it all ended when Noel was
seized when he used drugs. Noel returned to the pop-music again
On his birthday in 1988, Noel went to a concert with "the
Stone roses". During the concert Noel met a guy called
Graham Lambert. He was the guitarist in the band "Inspiral
Carpets". Noel and he changed telephonnumbers.
When Inspiral Carpets fired their singer, Noel went there to
suggest himself as new singer, but he didn't get the job. INstead
he started to work as stagebuilder for the band. Noel learnt to
play alot of instuments.
During Inspiral Carpets USA-tour in 1991 Noel got the novelty
that his younger brother Liam, had joined a band called
"Rain", but Liam had decided to rename the band Oasis.
When Noel came home he went to see Oasis first live-concert in
Manchester. Afterwards he was angry with Liam 'cause he thought
that they had been very bad.
One month later Noel was a member of the band.
Today Noel Gallagher is the brain of Oasis, he makes all the
songs and plays guitar. He also sings the background vocals. In
some songs like "Don't look back in anger", "Cast
no shadow" and "Magic pie" he sings all lyrics.
Noel is the one who earns most mney in the band.
He is married to a girl called Meg Matthews, who works on Oasis
recordlabel Creation records.
