According to yamahaguitars.com
SG-2000S was manufactured between 1983-1992 ($1,045) but that cannot be
true. I bought mine in 1982... The same site tells that SG-3000S was built
in 1983-1992 ($1,295).

Yamaha SBG-1996, SBG2000 and SBG3000
has similar technical data. I don't know the differences between the models.
I will tell when I find out.
