Lollipop Music Festival in Lida, Stockholm. Sun. The end of July 1997. Warm. A couple of great artists. Rain. Lots of techno. Wet. Great food. And Brown. That was the Lollipop festival 1997 for me. I loved The Hellacopters, I thought Johnny Cash was uninspired and uninspiring, I thought John Fogerty was really good, David Bowie made me tired. And I thought Brown was really bad. I mean, it was awful. Everybody seemed to love Brown, a bunch of popular comedians, known from Swedish television. They played one song called "provocera" (provoke) and played bad sketches for about 40 minutes. Oh yes, I laughed one or two times but the level of the humor was real low. If "Monty Python live at the Hollywood Bowl" could get 900 points of 1000 possible, Brown would get 50 or 60, I think. It wasn't funny. It wasn't good. The music was bad. The audience loved it. I liked it too. I like everything that is real bad. Yes, Brown really sucked. And the guys know it themselves. I hope. I mean, it was supposed to be bad, wasn't it?
