Broåsen

Evelyn and her horse O'Boy

A Burial Ground with about 60 prehistoric monuments. It's one of Hallands well known cultural places. It was larger originally, but has been damaged by the extraction of gravel etc.
The many gravetypes, large stone settings with three-lobes stone circles of an elongated type typical of the west coast suggest, as do a number of finds, that the burial ground dates from a long period of the Iron Age (500B.C-A.D 1050).
An upright stone, 5.8m high and the tallest in Halland, west of the road also belongs to the burial ground. During minor excavations during the twentieth century a Stone Age settlement with a bronze foundry were discovered.
