As all of you know the greatest filmevent ever created was George Lucas' film Star Wars that was released in 1977. The tremendeous success of the film was followed by The Empire Strikes back (1981) and Return of the Jedi (1983).
Now 20 years later since the first film was released I am (surley with millions of fans
all over the world) waiting with great expectations for the enhanced Star Wars Trilogy as well as for the new prequels that hopefully will hit the silverscreen in 1998.
I will look into and examine the enhanced trilogy, starting with Star Wars - Special Edition.
The first film will contain 4 minutes of extra footage, as well as a digitallly remastered soundtrack and a better coloring.
The computer rendered scenes are created by Industrial Light and Magic by using very sophisticated machines.
Many have wondered why George Lucas has decided not to include the scene with Luke
and Biggs, and the answer is that the scene will interfere with Lucas' vision of how the film was originally intended to be.
What is really peculiar is that the scene is included in the original Star Wars novel, but
I'll trust that Lucas' intensions will be better.
