Sandra (who's real name is Sandra Anette Bullock) was born on the 26th of July 1964 in Washington D.C. as the daughter of American voice coach John Bullock and German opera singer Helga Meyer.
She spent her childhood mostly in the States (Arlington, Virginia) and Germany (Nuremberg), where her mother had engagements.
Since aged 12 or 13 she lives in the States and graduated in 1982 at the Washington-Lee High School in Arlington. There she also was awarded "Most Likely To Brighten Your Day".
After that, she went to East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she graduated in drama.
Following a few years in New York and Los Angeles, where she played roles in student films and also had the obligatory job as a waitress, she finally got roles in some TV films and started to be known in Hollywood.
According to herself, she is 5 ft 7 1/2 (171 cm) and her shoe size is 8 1/2.
She has a 26-year-old sister named Gesine, who studies law, working with criminals and gang members.
As could be read and heard in various interviews, she is very keen at trying out everything,
due to which she obviously found fun in doing some handy-man work in her own house.
The house in Los Angeles, where she is living with her sister, was renovated by herself and the rest of the family.
Sandra had a four year relationship with Tate Donovan, whom she got to know at the set of Love Potion No. 9. As could be gathered from the press, she was very struck by the end of the relationship. She is solo since, but has been seen with quarterback Troy Aikman and was accompanied at the opening of The Net by Don Padilla, who has worked on the movie.
Her favorite singer is Tom Jones, from whom she would like to have an autograph - but maybe she got it already...
One of her best (traveling) friends is Samantha Mathis. Her favorite food is Kentucky Fried Chicken Dinner, and she just LOVES chocolate, but she also misses Haribo Gummibears.
She is a very good piano-player, and she learned to drive a bus in speed, she actually has her own driving licence to drive a bus. She decided to take it during the making of speed to show she is allowed to drive a bus for real.
