Mikael Renberg was a member of the Flyers famous," legion of doom", line. He and line mates Eric Lindros and John LeClair made up one the Nhl`s best lines.Mikael has been taded to Tampa Bay for Chris Gratton and I have a feeling that Tampa got the better of this deal. Mikaels tuffness and overall physical style of play make him far from the norm in Swedish hockey.
Mats Sundin is one of Sweden's and the NHL`s very best. The Maple Leafs are a sorry lot, but Mats still managed to put in a great year. He finished in the top 10 in scoring in the NHL. Mats is famous for his amazing goals in the world championships. He manages to combine a game of high skill with a strong physical presence. Peter Forsberg really needs no introduction. He is simply awesome. World champion hero, NHL champ, and the list goes on and on. No wonder that all of Sweden hopes that he will come home in time for the world Championships each spring.
Nicklas Lidström is Swedens best defenceman and one of the NHL's finest. He is a member of the high flying Detroit Redwings and is one of the teams most important players. He is considered to be among the 5 best defenders in the NHL.
