So, we all survived yet another CWC. All our three quintets did as well as could be expected, and all in all we are really satisfied with the event.
Two of the quintets played our new ROS chanters, and they worked just as well as we'd hoped. Sinclair and Kintail, eat your heart out!
At present we are hard at work trying to find new blackwood pipe chanters for the band. So far we have evaluated two brands, but at the band's annual anniversary celebaration, which took place on 19th December, 1997, another very interesting alternative turned up, which is what we now have decided to go for.
These are chanters made by Rolf of Sweden (ROS), a.k.a. Rolf Littorin of Onsala, Sweden, and they are truly exellent. We hope to have a full set (12 chanters) made by early spring.
