I have just visited Tijuana on the Mexican side of the boarder with U.S.A., for one day. 
I took the chance when I stayed at the Banana Bungalow in L.A. and joined one of their "organized" trips to Tijuana in Mexico, where we had some beer and Tequila in the "Iguana Bar". And then there were some time to take a look around in Tijuana. 

It sure was a BIG difference from U.S.A. across the boarder. That there can be such a big difference just walking over a line on the ground!! On one side you have everything and on the other you´re glad if you have half of that. 
 
On the bus there was another guy from the Neatherlands who also took the trip alone down to Tijuana, so joined and walked around Tijuana together, always nicer to go in a pair than alone. We looked around on and around the main street, also there was a big difference if you just took on setp aside from the main street it was like moving even further awasy from the civilization! 

That´s about that, and while in Mexico I couldn´t leave without real mexican Tequila, of course, with the worm and everything.
