Emelie's Smörgåstårta. I have learned that this is very Scandinavian, almost only Swedish. Not too many outside Sweden has even heard of this.

What is a Smörgåstårta? It's a kind of birthday cake, but instead of whipped cream, you use salmon, shrimps, caviar, cheese, roast beef etc. It's delicious.

Emelie was a shy little girl who just came with her cake to a church meeting. It won a contest that night, so simple and yet so good.

Now try it, before you think of it.
Think of this:

1. Avoid blue cheese, it gets too strong.
2. Save the expensive stuff for ganration.
3. Don't use too much mayonaise, mix it with sour creme etc. instead.

Bottom layer: bread, puzzle it together if you can't find long big slizes of bread. Spread the meat/liver paté and add the cucumber.
Add another layer of bread. Next layer: Do the same again.
Add another layer of bread. Top, garnate with eggs, mayoniase. Decorate with slices of lemon, the cheese and other stuff you find at home. Just make it nice, o.k?
