of the best Swedish quality, has been used as drinking water for several hundred years. The well is mentioned in text for the first time in the year 1399. Since the year 1496 there are notifications about its applicability as drinking water-supply. For a couple of decades it served as the community source for water supply in Habo.

You could say that we,
NORDIC SPRINGWATER AB in 1999 could, concerning the history of our spring, celebrate a 600-year jubilee. Or with our modesty already in 1996 had celebrated a 500-year jubilee.

The high quality, purity and fresh taste of our spring water basically depends on the fact that the water flow through the sand- and gravel bottom of Hökensås.

Hökensås is a remnant from the great ice age. When the ice-sheet 12 000 years ago slowly melted and made its way towards the Baltic sea, it left behind great hogbackes of sand, gravel and rocks.

This is what sets the ground for Hökensås, a unique and well-known nature reserve, protected against maladjustment regulated by law. A great area around the well is classified as protective area. Our well is situated in the forrest, far away from roads and settlement.

Deep below the surface, throw the hogback, the water flows to the well of  NORDIC SPRINGWATER AB.
This is a guarantee that our water will always have the same fresh taste, purity and clearness.
