Open Jaw:
An open jaw city is used when a person wants to arrive and depart from different remote locations. For example, a traveler may want to fly from New York City to Paris, drive from Paris to Frankfurt, then fly back to New York City from Frankfurt. Frankfurt would be the open jaw city.
 
Stopover:
A stopover city is a city where a traveler may want to stop for a period of time. Again, an example is the most efficient method of describing stopover. A person is taking a flight from Philadelphia to Munich. This flight goes through London and he/she would like to stop at London for a while and then go on to Munich. London would be the stopover city.
