How does the hearing works ?


By the hearing the witness shall take an oath , i.e. an assurance about telling the truth.
Exception regarding for instance close relative. Defended or the person injured doesnīt take an
oath. Hearing with the person injured and witnesses is taped. The one who is beeing heard doesBR> usually first tells what he remembers happened with his own words. After that
the court and parties ask questions. a witness who deliberately leaves a false
statement under the hearing can be prosecuted for purgery.

Why You should testify ?

protect someone but to help the court to judge right. Almost 100 000
people witness every year. Itīs not strange or complicated. The court
just want You to come and tells what You know. What You know can be
important and have big difference to the courts decision.


Afraid to witness ?


As a witness You can feel a slightly discomfort in presence of the visitation in court. This is
not usual but it usualy go over under the hearing. Itīs not so
discomforting to witness as You in advance may think.


Do You have to come ?


To witness is a communityduty. Itīs important that You comes in right time and to
right place, not only so that the court shall judge right, but also so beacuse
a hearing costs the community big money. If You donīt come can
the trial maybe have to put forward.

The summon is valid to the court announced something else. If You can take
your summon to the court.
