Remember Apocalyptica, the finnish band who did an album with only cello-covers
of Metallica tunes? Well this is their new one but now they only play songs of
their own (except from the 3 last tracks which all are covers), and if you haven't
learned by now this is entirely instrumental music, cello based but some percussion
appear also. The style is like, well sometimes is classical; and then mostly slow
and emotional (easily gets boring), but sometimes it's really wild and aggressive
(that's the part I like), although always with a sense of melody.
However, it may sound awesome but I dunno.. it's not really my cup of tea although
I can enjoy the album, especially tracks like "Path", "In memoriam" and "Hyperventilation"
are worth hearing.
