    Rating:
Debut album from one of the best norwegian bands ever (but then again, that's not a very hard pick), Theatre Of Tragedy. The thing they do is not black metal, oddly enough. Their style is generally called "gothic metal", but to me that means nothing. Put it this way: they play a slower kind of metal, with some nice guitar melodies here and there. Piano/keyboards is used in almost every song so that's also an important part. The vocal part is divided on two persons, first there's Raymond who does a dark death metal growl (which fits perfect!) and second Liv Kristine who is a female soprano singer, and I worship her and her voice because it's so goddamn beautiful!
For this album, no really bad tracks it's just that the production disappoints and sometimes (not often, but still) it gets boring. Otherwise a solid album.
