    Rating:
Wow, haven't listened to this stuff in a while...for like 2 years. But I must say, it's still pretty cool. 7-8 years ago, I just LOVED everything these guys did. I didn't listen to anything but this, all of their albums. I don't know why, but...just the way it was. But luckily, a couple of years later, I discovered some other great music, like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and I "dumped" GNR totally, and started to buy metal cd's like a maniac (I still do actually). But back to GNR now. Today, the year of 1999, I decided to listen to the "Illusion.." albums, to find out if I still like it. And like I said before, I do, but NOT as much as I did 7 years ago though. This music maybe isn't so popular today, but it's still pretty good, this...hmmm, don't know what to call this stuff...hard rock? Some very cool hard rocking music here, and good guitar solos by "Slash", as he calls himself. Axl does the vocals pretty good too (at least for being this kind of music). The good songs: the very fast Garden of Eden, the heavy Coma, beautiful ballad Don't cry with guest appearance by Shannon Hoon from...whatever that band is called, if they even exist nowadays. A decent release from these american hardrockers.
