Glacier Express

Some pictures from the train (juli 15 1998). The Glacier express starts in Zermat and travel through Visp and Brig to St Moritz. The part from Brig to St Moritz take about six hours. The wiew from the train is marvellous.

I'm standing at Wannichnubel, 1585 above see level. Behind Interlaken Ost is the rack railway Harderkulmbahn. The top station, Harderkulm connects to several hiking routes including one to the view point Wannichnubel. July 14 1998

The Brünigbahn between Luzern and Interlaken is the only SBB operated narrow gauge line

Map over the Jungfrau region. Jungrajoch, 3454 meters above see level is the highest situated 17:07 2000-01-16railway station in Europe. An elevator takes you about 100 more meters up to a view point.

Luzern

Luzern and Veiervaldstätterzee. The transport museum in Luzern is really worth seeing. SBB:s only narrow gauge line goes from Luzern to Interlaken.

The station in Cavaglia (July 16 1998), 1693 meters above see level. Cavaglia is at the line between St Moritz and Tirano.
