Indeed only one of many sharp quotations by Winston
Churchill.
But isn't it so true for most of us?
If Churchill would have had known about
computer games he might have recognised them as a great
way of learning without being taught. Perhaps even as
the ideal instrument to obtain knowledge.
Less than half a century after Churchill,
there are many who advocate computer games' potential
in a learning environment, and the variety of valuable
knowledge and skills that they actually provide to the
user. However, the majority of today's education methods
fail to utilize much of their potential. Until now,
we have not gone beyond Churchill's quotation, but it
is definitely within reach.
