The GeekMail Project
-- An open source BeOS email client being created just for you!
GeekMail is an open source project originally conceived by Matt Hay (aka, theKid). GeekMail will include many top-notch features, such as IMAP support, multiple accounts, filtering, newsreader capabilities, and a built in BeOS replicant container.

GeekMail is open-source so that our programming and imagination limitations do not stop other people from adding even better features. All that we ask in return is that you send us a copy and explanation of what modifications you have made so that we can update the original source (and, eventually, the binary), and make sure that you are in the About box.

We also will accept suggestions on features and we'll do our best to add in that feature and add your name to the About box. If you can obtain a sample of the necessary source code, we would extremely appreciate your efforts.

The Address Book

This project was a part of our Human Computer Interaction course. We developed a prototype application with the user interface principles we had learned in mind. The development was completely done in BeOS and finished spring 1999. The project page is here
