Eyelashviper
Watch your head! This snake is strictly tree-dwelling and preys on
birds, lizards, frogs, small birds and mammals. It strikes with most of
its body lunging forward while hanging on to a branch with its
prehensile tail. It is fairly aggressive and extremel y beautiful, with
color varieties ranging from green or olive with black or reddish spots
to yellow-green with brown spots and even nearly black or reddish.
Looking at our solid yellow viper, it is easy to see why these
tree-dwellers are sometimes acciden tally shipped overseas with bananas!
