Biography
I was born in Bucks County Pennsylvania in 1962. The
first 8 years of my life my family traveled and lived in many different places.
At 3 we moved to Italy, and when I was 6 we moved to England. We traveled
around a lot due to my fathers work in the military. In 1970 we relocated to
Tallahassee, Florida. I spent the next 9 years attending school and working at
what was to be my job of choice. In 1979 I dropped out of High School to begin
working and took the GED test. Making a hundred percentile on the tests gave me
my diploma.
I began working with regional bands as a Back line
technician. As I learned more I progressed to Monitor and FOH engineer, then to
Lighting Director. I started working for a company named Reel Rock Productions.
I worked with them for 5 years. I learned much about wiring, soldering,
electronics, lighting and sound reinforcement. When they opened the Tallahassee
Civic Center, we started the local crew and then became the building riggers
for the concerts and events. We were then asked to put together a crew for The
Albany Georgia Civic Center. In 1984 while working local crew for New Edition,
I was hired and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to begin the next phase of my
schooling as it were.
I began working for R.A. Roth in 1984. My first tour
was as 3rd Electrician for the Kool and The Gang tour. By the end of the first
leg of the tour I was Crew boss and Touring Rigger. This is where I learned if
you are given the job of Crew boss you can never go back. I toured for about 6
years and then came off the road to begin duties as Operations Manager. From
1989 till 1993 it was necessary for me to leave to work to do some world tours
including Iron Maiden. I was to meet Graham Holmes of B & G Production
Services who I have had a working relationship for the past 10 years. While on
a tour in Sweden in 1995 I was to meet my wife Helen Linderholm.
In 1996 I began working for the OBIE company in Los
Angeles, California. I was to replace the shop foreman while he was out for 3
months on sick leave. I came back after moving to Stockholm, Sweden and
marrying Helen. Where I then was re-hired in 1997as a Project Coordinator.
In 1998 I moved back to Sweden and began working
locally and in England with Neg Earth Ltd. I have worked in the Globe as a
rigger and I currently am working freelance for Spectra, Nordic Artists and
others that need an Efficient, Competent, Knowledgeable and Safe specialist.
