Threatened
by the bandits that roam the forest, the guilds that prey on merchants inside the
walls of Acumin and certain people affiliation with the Dark Gods, Acumin
enforces strict rules on behaviour and action. Breaking the law causes dire
consequences for the offender.
Acumin
employs two judges for implementing the word of the Emperor. Judge Sirgil, a
tall, dark human, enforces the law to the letter. Possessing extraordinary
logic he is the bane of all who try to hide the truth. Judge Mufasa, yet
another tall, dark human, seems to be relatively kind compared to Judge Sirgil.
This ‘kindness’ he uses as a subterfuge to gain people confidence and
ruthlessly extract the real truth.
The
Judges consider cases such as murder, trade illegalities, the obtaining of
‘non-self’ property. Any seriously important case will be administered by the
Thane herself.
Abiding by the rules set by the Emperor Acumin also implements a few of its own, having gained these through the passing of time.
