The Saab TankRadar® G3 is the third generation of marine tank gauges. About 50% of the tankers built today, are equipped with Saab TankRadar®. Over 1000 tankers are sailing with Saab TankRadar® onboard.
All marine Saab TankRadar® gauges are intrinsically safe, providing a number of benefits for the operator. There is a high degree of safety built into the system.
There are three types of transmitters with different antennas available with Saab TankRadar® G3:
- Parabolic Antenna Transmitter for all types of crude products and Chemical tankers.
- Cone Antenna Transmitter for ships with shallow tanks.
- Level Gauge for Liquefied Gas Tankers.
- Fast Opening Transmitter for bitumen carries.
