WELCOME...

We are proud to present one of the best multi player games we have ever invented. It's a decathlon,
and we call it "Summer Olympics".
As we are confident you will love it once you give it a chance, the generall
idea is to put up a
"Hall of fame" where all the national records will appear.
Please be as serious as we are about this, and be honest about your records.
Then e-mail them to us.
(feel free to use that same adress if you have any questions...or comments)
Enjoy!
Summer Olympics
Summer olympics consists of 10 games:
rules are as follows: (short dictionary first though.)
Trebles will be refered to as T
Doubles = D
Bulls-ring = B
Bulls-eye = BE
Points = pts
100 meter dash
very simple, all you have to do is reach 100pts.
(Note: in many of theese games, it may be wise to notice on which dart the
contestant finishes, as it is the number of darts that's important if more
than one contestant finishes in the same round)
Hop-step-and-jump
This event is devided into two: First three darts set your "speed & angle", and then
(if you qualify) you "jump".(i.e. if you qualify,go get your darts and throw
immediatly. Don't wait for the next player to qualify)
"speed & angle": Your goal is to get 39pts. If you get more you have fouled,
and are not allowed to jump. If you get less, the difference from what you
got and 39 is subtracted from the pts you get in the jump.
pts: in "speed and angle" all darts count as usual
in "jump" T and D does not give more points than what ever number they hit.
B however counts as 25 and BE as 33
A perfect hop step and jump would look something like: 14, 14, 11, and BE,
BE, BE = 99pts
Three attempts
400 meters hurdle
This event consists of seven rushes and six jumps. The sequence looks like:
run 60, jump(or climb) 50, run 60, jump 50, etc. until you have jumped the
sixth hurdle, then finish with running 40.
Running: get 60pts as fast as you can. counting as usual. when over 60;
Jump. Jumping is done either by hitting any B, or adding the points of your
unsuccesful jump-attempts until they add up to 50pts. Misses only counts
inside the T-ring.
A perfect start would look like T20, B, T20.
Discus
Discus is, as the hop-step-and-jump, divided into two. First you "rotate"
(no, not literally), then you throw.
The rotation is done by hitting 20, 10 and 8. If you hit an adjacent number
you may continue, but there will be a five point deduction for each miss.
If you can't hit neither the right number nor the adjacent one, you have
failed, and are not allowed to throw. If you succed in rotation, go get your
darts and throw again.
The points in the actual "throw" is exactly as the jump part in hop-step-and jump.
Three attempts
Longjump
One of the three darts has to be a B or BE. This will let you count the two
other darts, no matter which one of the darts that hit the B.
D and T counts as singles,
B=25pts, BE=33pts.
Three attempts
200 meter dash
First to reach 200pts is the winner. Counting as usual.
Bicykle
Go one round at the velodrome... Start at 20, when you have hit that, advance to 1. then 18, 4, 13 etc. until you reach the goal at 5.
High-jump
first chalk up the heights = points: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 63, 66, 69, 72, 75, 78, 80, 82, 84, 86, 88, 90, 91, 92, 93 etc.
Player one announces weather he will make an attempt at first height or not.
Then player two etc. Alter turns for answering from height to height, to make it fair.
You have three attempts, and may skip a height if you feel like it. (you may not
skip more than three heights in a row though)
When you have a winner, he may use his remaining attempts to go for the record.
Naturally, you can not set a record if the height you try to jump is not that of the record.
When you go for a record, try for the hight as close to the record as possible.
(if the record is at 104, only go for 105 etc.)
Sailing
The goal of this event is to hit six "buoys". Three of them are predestinated:
D, T and B. The other three is up to you. (why not throw some darts with the wrong hand to set the other three?)
Naturally, first to hit last buoy is the winner.
Soccer
The goal (!) of this game is to have the highest score of all players in each round.
The player with the highest points "scores". The winner of the round starts the next.
Set a number of goals necessary to win. (we usually go to 10, or if too many players, best out of ten)
All darts counts as usual
Here are the records of those games where a record is meaningful:
