Samaná
& Cayo Levantado - Bacardi Island
After
a 50 km ride we stop for breakfast in Rio San Juan. Along the
north coast we pass palmwoods, ricefields and coconut plantations.
After arrival in Samaná, speedboats take us to the famous
Bacardi Island where we enjoy the white sandy beach for about
four hours. Lunch will be served in one of the restaurants and
is included in the price. If you want to enjoy the fresh seafood
which is a speciality on Cayo Levantado you have the possibility
to do that. Order from our representative after arrival to the
island. Don't miss the opportunity to taste a Piña Colada
served in a fresh pineapple or a Coco-Loco in a fresh coconut.
Only natural ingredients and no preservatives. This trip is
ideal for guests who enjoy swimming and snorkling or just a
relaxed moment on the beach. On the way back we make different
stops for local specialities.
Between
January and March we offer whale safaris from the island. The whales
get together in the Samaná bay for breeding during this period.
They are not shy and often they swim under the boats or play around
by jumping up over the waterline. Being able to get close to such
impressive animals is a fantastic feeling that few people have the
possibility to experience. You can reserve the whale safari in combination
with the Samaná excursion.
After
a 50 km ride we reach Rio San Juan where we glide by boat through
the beautiful mangroves of Laguna Gri-Gri to a secluded bay with
the famous "swallow cave". After a snorkling break in
the chrystal clear water we will have lunch and then continue our
tour to Playa Grande. On this fantastic beach we have about four
hours for swimming and leisure. On the way back we stop by a fruit
farm for a taste of some typical Dominican fruits.
This
trip is ideal for swimming and snorkling at the wonderful coral
reefs. It also shows a bit more of the dominican nature and what
is cultivated on the island.
Our
Jeep Safari leeds you to the "Dominican Alps". You will
admire the magnificent range of mountains on your way to the 28
waterfalls with a huge basing of fresh water where you can take
a refreshing bath. After a ride on bullback we will visit a dominican
family where we may attend the preparation of local food.
This
trip is recommended to all guests who like a certain touch of adventure
and do not hesitate to cross rivers or take a walk through the jungle.

Puerto
Plata - The capital of the North Coast
After
an interesting ride over the northern coast highway we reach the
capital of the amber coast - Puerto Plata. We visit the Brugal
rum distillery, the central park and the old fortress in the harbour.
In the center of town we visit a gallery with a big selection
of the blue amber that is typical for the Dominican Republic and
the light blue stone Larimar. We also visit a small cigar manufacture
where those who want to can try a fresh handmade cigar. There
will also be time for some shopping on your own in Puerto Plats
biggest department store. Drinks and entrances are included.
This
trip is recommended to guests who want to purchase Dominican souvenirs
and visit a bigger dominican town that is not built up around
the tourism.
A
Funny Bike tour on four wheels takes you to the interior of the
Dominican Republic and away from the tourism. On these small vehicles
you have the possibility to go places that can not be reached by
car or bus. You will experience an almost untouched nature and the
daily life of the people in the Dominican Republic. The trip will
go uphills as well as downhills, along the beach and the rivers.
Lunch and beverages are included as well as the precence of a representative

An
exciting and interesting ride over mountainroads and highways will
take you to Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.
We will visit the famous aquarium, the cathedral, the Columbus park
and the monument Tres Ojos - Three Eyes.

Haiti
- One day with voodooshow, history, country, people & culture
On
this excursion you will meet the two different countrys that share
the territory on the island Hispaniola. We drive along the northwest
coast through the dry zone of the Dominican Republic. We pass an
enormous cactus and banana-, papaya-, rice-, aloe vera- and sugar
cane fields. On the way to Haiti there will be a stop for breakfast.
When we get to Dajabón, we will make a stop by the border
and while our guide arrange the travel documents we have the opportunity
to study the very special commercial relationship between the two
countries.
From
the borderline we drive to the small city of Fort Liberté
to visit the old Fortress by the sea. On the way we will visit the
coal and clothing market and the home of a haitian family where
we can see how people in general live. We will also pass rivers
where young girls and women wash their clothing, visit a haitian
school and watch a voodoo show. Back in the Dominican Republic,
lunch will be served.
Haiti
is one of the poorest countries in the world and almost all the
habitants are black. Nature and culture is very different from the
Dominican Republic and Haiti will remind you more of Africa than
the Caribbean. Don't forget your passport and tourist card!
We
drive from your hotel to Punta Rusia through the dry zone along
the nortwest coast of the Dominican Republic. We will pass some
sugar cane fields, banana-, rice- and cacao plantations. On the
way we make a stop by an enormous cactus, we have breakfast and
the ones who want can take some pictures of the paradise island
from the top of a mountain. In Punta Rusia we take the boat to a
lagoon through the mangrove forests and then we continue to the
island where we stay for about three hours. We will also have lunch
and visit the national Park of Monte Christi.
This
paradise island in the middle of the sea is known to be the best
place for snorkling in the whole Caribbean. The water is chrystal
clear and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the biggest and
most beautiful coral reefs in the area.
