For me it started with my first Super-8 camera 1968.Before I sometimes used my fatherīs Double-8.
I later bought my Beaulieu 5008-S.
The most risky thing I have done was the
evening I developed one Ektachrome 160
in my bathroom.I had filmed Mott The
Hoople with Mick Ronson and could not
wait until the film was developedbyKodak.
The result was OK (even today 20years later),but the idea of developing original
Super-8 films at home is not so very good!!
1977, I started to import Super-8 stuff
which you couldnīt find in the photo-
shops.
FILMVISION was the name of
my firm.My firm FILMVISION still
exist today. Here are some stuff which
every "Super-8 freak" was asking for
& FILMVISION imported these articles
for the Scandinavian countries :
1."2.22"The best filmtreatment in the world.Eliminated scratches and protected the film not to be scratchy.
2.Cravenīs Backwinder
3.Cut-A-Rut
4.Kowaīs Widescreen Lenses.
FILMVISION had for some years the
sole agency for Zero Halliburton
Aluminium Cases in the Scandinavia.
The English treatment (the one & only)
2.22 was made by Kanus Chemicals Ltd.
Does anybody know what happened to
the best filmtreatment in the world ?
After the death of the director of
Kanus Chemicals Ltd, Mr R.R. Weller,
it seems that the secret formula for "2.22" followed the chemist to his grave?
Letīs keep in touch all old
Super-8 freaks around the
world!!
