A little someting about me...
Well, first of all, "Dookie" isn't my real name (which you've probably already found out). My name
is Daniel Johansson and I live in Stenungsund (or in Ödsmål to be exact)
at the westcoast of Sweden, about 50km north of Gothenburg.
I'm 19 years old and I'm a studying here in Stenungsund at Nösnäsgymnasiet
— the closest equivalent to the American Highschool. I'm now on my last term and that feels fine! When I've finnished my studies there I'll do military service for 10 month.
After that I want to study computer technology at a university college (Chalmers would be great! I hope I'll study there some day...).
I'm aiming to be a civil engineer in computer technics, since computers are something that I'm really interested
in. |
As I said I live at the coast and I spend quite some time in the summers by the sea. Here's a lovely
picture taken in the archipelago north of Gothenburg. If there's someone who wants to know exactly
where it's taken, well, then I can tell you that this is at Vasholmarna near Gullholmen
west of the third greatest island in Sweden, Orust. The white sailboat to the left, belongs
to my family. It is, as a matter of fact, built by my father. It's a 33 feet longkeeled Fortissimo
(or a Marieholm 33). It's called Bridan II.
Since the 19:th of June, 1996, My computer runs with a Cyrix 6x86 processor — a 6x86-P150+ at 120MHz. (The processor
at the picture here to the left is a 6x86-P200+ at 150MHz)
6x86-P150+ at 120MHz is about the same as an Pentium 120MHz, but it's a bit faster than Pentium 150! Perhaps you know
that the earlier generation of Cyrix — 5x86 — wasn't really that great (a 120MHz 5x86 was about as fast as an Pentium
90MHz). Well, you should now that this new generation is much faster. It's not just faster then Pentium, it's in fact cheaper too!
I bought my Cyrix from INET Data AB in Gothernburg and there it costed
just a bit more than Pentium 120. It was cheaper than P133 and a lot cheaper than P150! If you wanna know more about this, how it
really works, some benchmark results, etc. than go look at Cyrix homepage.
