To get the newest version of buzz you need to download 3 files. The first is buzz 1.04, the second one is the buzz 1.1 update and the third is the buzz 1.2 rc1 update. This could seem confusing to people not used to downloading and installing programs and updates, don't worry though, we'll do this step by step.

Note : Buzz is a win 95/98 program, but it will however run just fine under win nt

-Getting the files
Click the links below, save the files on the desktop

Buzz 1.04

Buzz 1.04 - 1.1 update

Buzz 1.2 rc1 - update

Buzz 1.2 BETA - update
Buzz BETA is now out but this is only an exe you place in your buzz directory to replace your old buzz.exe file. New in the version is themes, templates and skin support among many bug fixes. This link leads to the main buzz page and I've decided not to copy it to my server since new updates arrive almost each day. The BETA updates are named after the date and time they were released, always check #buzz on efnet for information on the newest release.

-Installing them on your computer
Now when you have downloaded all three files start by doubleclicking on the buzz 1.0 installer, follow the instructions and make sure you remember the location of the program on the harddrive. Now click the 1.04 and 1.2 updates and do as instructed, when asked for the location of the buzz exe just click your way through the harddrive to the directory you choose during the install.

-Buzz setup
First of all startup buzz by scrolling your way through the startmenu, a splash screen should be shown and a text that says - ...initializing - ...loading machines and so on. You will end up with a white screen, a marker and some menus above it. Click the view dropdown menu, choose [preferences...] - change the waveoutput driver from silent to directx if possible, otherwise use the waveform audio drivers. Note though that directx will always be the fastest driver while using buzz. Now you can also setup midi in/out if you know you are going to use them, there is also an option called wavetable, leave that alone for now though.

-Note:
There still are buzz 1.2 beta 1-8 and such updates floating around on the net, skip them. All you need are the three above, they are the easiest way to install buzz. Also note that Oskari will make a 1.2 full installer any day letting you install 1.2 with just one file, always keep an eye on the official buzz homepage - http://www.buzz2.com

All files above have been checked for viruses with a new version of avp toolkit pro, but none have been found, new viruses are always invented and spread, always check your downloads, i take no resposibility if the files are contaminated - http://www.avp.com
