I can't really remember what my first FX-box was… I do remember my first rack unit, though… It was an ART SGX T2 digital guitar effects preamp, together with an X-15 Ultrafoot midi foostswitch. It kicked ass, but had an annoying glitch when you changed programs, and it weren't able to handle the extreme low frequencies of my basses. So I sold it. |

What I use now is a strange collection of FX… First in the chain is my modified Jim Dunlop Mr. CryBaby Super Wah/Volume/Volume boost pedal. This is one of the kewlest effects ever, and it works great for bass after some small modifications. Mine now affects a the whole frequency spectrum, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz… |

Then comes the EBS Octabass pedal. It produces a tone one octave below the note you're playing, and the effect is awe-inspiring! |

After the Octabass comes the EBS UniChorus…This is the best chorus I've ever tried, most usable flanger and the only pitch modulator I've ever actually used. This one kicks the butt of a blue whale without even thinking about it! Together with the Wah, it sounds like some really weird analogue synth, and with distortion… WOW! |

After the chorus comes distortion #1, an Ibanez Metal Charger. It ain't the best, but it works OK for some distorted sounds. Great control over the sound, but a bit transistor sound… |

The final link in the chain is the EBS-1V2 internal compressor, which is the best I've EVER heard! |
