The Rock

In order to get a correct reading from the CD it is important that the laser mechanism is absolute still. The rock make it almost impossible for micro-vibrations to reach the laser mechanism. This results in a better low bas and a cleaner tremble. You can really hear the differens, even more with a low- or mid priced CD player. The rock must be really solid. The best choice is a type of granite, in Sweden, called "diabas".
My piece of "diabas" weights about 40 Kg.
For the moment I am not using this rock because to my weak hi-fi stand.

Remark. The cd player is a Micromega Stage 2.
