Navigation

My biggest interest is navigation. I hope it's yours also, and to forfill your wishes... here's a course in celestial navigation made by a guy named Steven A. Sternberg. It is very easy to understand to a person who is familiar with terrestrial navigation, but to one that isn't, this is nothing I would recommend. If you are a novice I advise you to join a cource in navigation or go to your library and start study on your own.
While you're learning navigation you'll see how fun it is and then, when you're out at sea, you'll see how good it is to know navigation!

About my self
I started off with navigation as a fourteen-year-old boy, i.e. two years earlier than the age limit at 14. I took the first grade exam, which in swedish navigation is called "Skärgårdsskeppare" and in english: archipelago skipper (free translation!). Fifteen years old I took the next grade which is "Kustskeppare" (eng. Coast skipper).
My interest for boats have been steadfast since the day I was born and I love being out boating in summertime. I've got a little motorboat on the Swedish westcoast. She's called Albatross and has peach-colored rail and thwarts. The rest is white.
As I go the last year in senior high-school I have to do a "special work" which means that I have to do a big schoolwork. I have decided, in consultation with my teacher, to do a little box which you can put in your boat. The box is registering the cantings of the boat and when done, it will adjust two trim-tabs in the stern by sending them electric signals. This will make the boat go faster and safer at the same time as it will increase your sight and decrease your fuel consumation. We'll see how it all worked out in the end of the spring semester next year. Until then, I'll serve you with further details on this page.
