I am an agricultural trainee from New Zealand on a 15 month around the world program (previously in Canada for 7 ½ months), presently working in Gotland now for 5 ½ months. The farm I work on consists of 40 dairy cows, 100 hectares of forest and 82 hectares of land (pasture and crops). My stay in Sweden has been most beneficial in many ways, one of these being the involvement with the club Swedish alumni that organizes social events and activities (involving alumnis, trainees etc. from i.e. the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway), enabling trainees to keep in touch with other trainees, meet past and new trainees and hoast families, thus giving trainees a chance to see other countries at the same time. In conclusion to this letter, I would like to take the chance to thank the club alumni for all the functions they have arranged in the past and the functions to come. I do highly recommend Sweden as a host country. Hopefully they will teach you some of the things they have taught me! Marc Dalton (The Gotlandic Legends!)
