You might have got your hands on a seemingly old violin, and wonder: Is this
a Stradivarius? Maybe I am a Millionaire?
Well, in most cases you are not that lucky. But if the violin looks old and
has a more unfamiliar name on the lable inside, it might be of interest to check
if this violin actually looks similar to the genuine ones made by that maker.
We can make that check for you. Just take carefully measures as shown below,
fill in the table with the data and send it to us with a push on the button.
If you have a good photo you may take the measurements from that. It does not
have to be a full size photo, measurements from any quality photo are OK.

After analysis we will give you an answer, at present free of charge during
the development of this service. Such an analysis will give a list of violin
makers who made violins closest to your submitted measurements. An example of
such an analysis is given below where a violin made by M Deconet is compared
with over 100 different violins. Apparently his violin looks similar to both
my own violin (Örjans fiol) and violins made by JC Leidolf.
