From: llama@ice.net.au (Christian Graus) Date: Wed, 15 Nov 1995 14:19:58 GMT AC/DC Baby please don't go. This song is based on a nmuber of recurring riffs, so I'll transcribe each once & let you piece it together. First Angus plays this riff four times : E--------------------------------------------------- B----------------------17------------------------- G------14bu16h---------bd14---12---------- D---------------------------------------------12--- A--------------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------- bu=bend up h=hold bd=bend down Then the main riff Riff A E-----------------------------0--3po0--------------------------------0--3po0--------0------------------- B------3bu5-------0ho3---------------3po0--------------0ho3---------------3bs---------3po0------- G---------------------------------------------------2bu4------------------------------------------------------ D---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E-----------------------------------------------|--------------------------- B---------------4------------------------------|--------------------------- G-----2bu3-------2sb3bd2po0----------|--------------------------- D----------------------------------------2po0|--------------------------- A-----------------------------------------------|--2po0------------------ E-----------------------------------------------|-------------2po0------- The bit on line two to the bar is played twice, sb=bend before playing, po=pull off ho=hammer on. The other main riff....Riff B E----------------------------------------------- B----------------------------------------------- G----------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------------ A------------------------------------------------ E----s3--0---s3--0--0--0---s7--0-0------ s=slide to note. The chord thats played over 'you know I love you so' is A7 EADBGE x02020 Then it's back to riff B, but play the bottom two strings after the first two notes & let ring. From here it's a lot of repeat stuff. The next new bit is as follows: E5 | E5 F5 | F5 F#5 | F#5 G5 | etc up to A#5 B5 E5 is EAD 022 F5 is EAD 133 and it slides up from there. Then it goes G#5 A5 A#5 B5 C5 C#5 D5 D#5 and back to riff A When it stops and starts again, the riff Angus plays is like this E-------7po4po0------- really fast over & over and then goes up the strings as follows E 8 times, B 8 times, and then GDAE each four times. The riffs Angus plays with Bon singing are all basic E pentatonics on the 12th fret. For example the first one is: G-----14bu16--14bu16---14bu16--- The second is G--------------------12bs D----14----14-----------------14 The third G--14sb16--14--12bs------- D-------------------------------14 The rest are mostly the same notes, & all Em pentatonic which is E---------------------------------------------------------12--15------------ B----------------------------------------------12--15----------------------- G-----------------------------------12--14---------------------------------- D------------------------12--14--------------------------------------------- A-------------12--14-------------------------------------------------------- E--12--15------------------------------------------------------------------- And that's about it, all the rest is the same riffs again. | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- /\_| |_/\ | Llamas are bigger than frogs - Monty Python | \ -- / | Why are humans put on this earth ? - Calvin. | / -- : \ | Tiger food. - Hobbes | \_____/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Christian Graus EMail llama@ice.net.au Home Page www.geopages.net/SunsetStrip/1966 Snail Mail GPO Box 1375 Hobart 7001 Tasmania Australia.
