Assistant Instructor - Practical experience for future instructors

The PADI Assistant instructor ( AI ) course not only provides valuable preparation for becoming a Open Water Scuba Instructor ( OWSI ) but also increases you´re level of knowledge and therefore enhance your professional capacity. During the course you will practice and obtain an academic style that allows to effectively conduct classroom sessions for any PADI course. Upon completion of your course you may choose to either move on to an Instructor Development Course or stay as a working professional Assistant Instructor. Having Assistant instructors on staff is highly desirable for dive centers and resorts since you may conduct many PADI programs independently or with minimal assistance. Beyond what you are qualified to do as a Divemaster you can also:

• Certify student as PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Divers
• Conduct the complete Discover Scuba pool session
• Conduct the complete Medic First Aid course ( after additional training as a MFAI )
• Certify students in nondiving specialties such as Equipment specialist ( after completing a service course conducted by a manufacturer )
