Training for: Certified Divers, Divemasters, Assistant Instructors, Scuba Instructors, Charter Boat Crews and EMS Personnel

DAN Mission statement

"Divers Alert Network (DAN), a non-profit organization, exists to provide expert information and advice (consistent with the current medical literature) for the benefit of the diving public"

DAN Training Mission Statement

To provide comprehensive training which is educationally sound in support of DANs mission and obligation to the diving community.

To disseminate the latest information on topics related to diving safety through articles, reports, seminars, lectures and training programs

To develop programs and materials which will compliment currently available dive safety training throughout the diving community. To foster cooperative efforts in terms of dive safety with the worldwide diving and medical community.

Diver Education

Continuing education is encouraged in the form of additional training courses, supervised practice sessions, current literature review of refresher training.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Professional Development Units (PDUs) may be granted to diving leadership personnel for participating in this course as authorized by their respective training agency. EMS personnel (EMTs and DMTs) may be granted 4,0 hours of CME or CEU by submitting the course credentials to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NBDHMT)
