Colourful interiors All Ordning&Reda stores are designed by our own architects to become tasteful environments, both inside and out. Architecture, facade, windows, interior design, decoration, lightning and so on, are all considered when a new store is being built. Our interior designers view each store and submit a proposal. Another basic idea of ours is that furnishings should be durable and of high quality. The furnishings and colours we select are intended to lend focus to the products and result in a bright and clear impression typical of Scandinavian design. The size of the store varies from 45-100 sq. Meters of effective sales space, while the ideal size is 60-80 sq. Meters. Anything smaller limits the range of products on display, whilst larger premises are usually unnecessarily expensive and therefore not cost-effective. A common feature of all our stores is a large window facing the street with a window display area, a mounted sign above the store and a message on the window itself. The height of the ceiling should be around 3 metres to optimise shelf capacity, and there should be an entrance of adequate size to give potential customers an easy, natural and welcoming feeling on entering the store. There should also be room for shoppers with prams to pass through the doorway, as well as room for them in the store itself. ORDNING & REDA Updated 1999-05-21 |
